Information For The Recently Diagnosed

Alternatives to Coumadin®

Aspirin therapy is one alternative to Coumadin®. Currently, there are several drugs being tested as alternatives to Coumadin®.

None of the drugs have passed the FDA yet.

Some folks try herbs that anticoagulate the blood. I don' t know much about this area yet.

Some folks can't tolerate or are allergic to coumadin and take LMWH all the time (this is rare).

Talk with your hemo doc if you would like to try alternatives to Coumadin®
