Alternatives to Coumadin^®

Aspirin therapy is one alternative to Coumadin^®. Currently, there are several drugs being tested as alternatives to Coumadin^®.

None of the drugs have passed the FDA yet.

Some folks try herbs that anticoagulate the blood. I don' t know much about this area yet.

Some folks can't tolerate or are allergic to coumadin and take LMWH all the time (this is rare).
